The new EOC director search committee has tweaked the job requirements a bit.
Tuesday the committee submitted a revised job description to County Commissioners. The summary says the director must report to the County Judge and provide timely briefings on emergency management related plans and events.
Committee chairman, Jim Mann, says the EOC's response hurricanes Katrina and Rita helped the committee with job requirements.
"Anytime that you go through 2 events back to back like we just went through it causes you to take a look at the demands of that position and the qualities of the individual it takes for that kind of job. So we took a look at that," said Mann.
November 20th is the deadline for applicant submissions.
