Burglary Suspect Nabbed Thanks to Watchful Eyes

A neighbor's watchful eyes and open ears helps College Station police catch up with an alleged burglar.

Chris Baker was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say they got a called to Towneplace Drive and Welsh as someone watched a home's front door being broken through. Officers say they got to the scene as Baker began to run from the home with a laptop under his arm.

After jumping a few fences, he was caught.

The 36-year-old homeless man faces a felony charge of burglary.
