Investigators say a body that was dumped on Highway 21 near Madisonville may be related to a drug overdose.
Conroe Police have taken the lead on the investigation, but say it is not a murder investigation at this time.
Sergeant Bob Berry tells KBTX the victim may have died at a friend's apartment in the Conroe area, then dumped in Madison County.
The person allegedly responsible for taking the victim's body to Highway 21, about 3 miles west of I-45, called police to report it.
No sign of trauma was found on the body, but detectives are waiting on autopsy results.
