35-year-old Pete Rushford was arrested after Pearland Police contacted B-P-D this morning identifying Rushford as a suspect.
Rushford allegedly was paid an undisclosed amount of money by a Pearland resident to kill that individual's relative. The intended victim has been contacted and is unharmed.
Rushford is being questioned at Bryan P-D, and will be transported to the county jail.
Bond is being recommended at 100-thousand dollars.
