It's a tale of money and murder with more twists than a Hollywood movie.

Jury selection began Monday in a capital murder trial that includes allegations of hitmen for hire, fugitives on the run, drugs, money and the shooting death of a College Station man.

Chad Davis, 31, is charged with orchestrating the murder of Tommy Andrade. Authorities say in August 2003, Chad and his brother, Trey, hired three men from Georgia to retrieve money from Andrade.

Andrade and another man investigators say was involved in the murder plot were killed. Two others were injured.

Investigators say the murder involved a drug trafficking ring.

Opening arguments begin Tuesday. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty.
