College Station Police say alert store clerks are to credit for the arrest of two suspected forgers.
Police arrested Mitchevonta Brown, 31, of Houston Saturday.
Brown, who is a man disguised as a woman, was taken into custody after a brief struggle at Target in College Station. He's charged with five counts of forgery.
Also arrested was Kenneth Frances, 21, of Houston. He's also charged with five counts of forgery.
Police believe the pair used forged checks to steal merchandise from at least four College Station stores.
Both remained in the Brazos County Jail Sunday
