News Three first told you about the Caldwell woman who was carjacked at the grocery store. Sylvia Castillo's car is being held as evidence and her insurance company won't cover a rental.
However, after our story aired Thursday, Castillo got the help she needed.
Xpress Rent A Car in Bryan offered Castillo a car for a dollar a day. Then, a local woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she would cover the fee for two months.
"You don't hear of carjackings around here much and so that touched me," Dan Waskow with Xpress Rent A Car said.
She was a victim of that and then she was put in a bind because she didn't have a car anymore."
Castillo has been relying on friends for a ride and we're told she's delighted to be back on the road.
