News Conference Set to Discuss Investigation of A&M Sailboat Accident

The investigation into the sinking of an A&M sailboat will be the focus of a Tuesday news conference in Galveston.

Comments will be made by Texas A&M University System Deputy Chancellor and General Counsel Jay Kimbrough who is leading the investigation into the sinking of the Cynthia Woods.

The boat capsized in the Gulf of Mexico Friday with six members of the Texas A&M Sailing Team aboard. All were rescued except safety officer Roger Stone who died while saving two crew members.

The news conference will take place at 10 a.m. on the campus of Texas A&M Galveston.
