The City of Bryan has resumed repairs involving bucket trucks in emergency cases, but routine repairs are still on hold, this as an investigation continues into the death of Alex Constancio, the city worker who fell from a bucket truck while working on a traffic signal.

City Manager David Watkins says the first thing the city is trying to do is figure out all the facts in the accident.

A final report could take weeks, and until all the facts are gathered, they won't review safety practices.

Watkins says he's not aware of any contact between the city and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, as cities are not subject to OSHA regs.

About have the states do not have OSHa covering government officials. Which leaves the investigation up to the same sytem they were killed in. I am not saying in this case but in many this leaves them ploicing themselves and to a confict of interst.

Dawn, I too find it interesting that the city doesn't fall under OSHA req. But in Jay defense. You challenged Jay on not being there to observe the speeds. How can you say it was the lack of flaggers and signs warning of a stopped vehicle? Where you there? I personally don't think a single entity is to blame. It was simply a combination of factors, that rippled to a tragic accident. Instead of pointing fingers on who's to blame, save these comments to send condolences to the family.

no I was not there but how many accidents regarding BIG TRUCKS have happened in the last weeks. Its impossible for you to sit there and say its not their fault, its not all their fault but if he was coming at the right speed and paying attention he could have slowed down or switched lanes in enough time, and a life could have been spared.
