Prosecutors continued to try to link Chad Davis to the death of Tommy Andrade in day four of his capital murder trial on Friday. Davis is accused of hiring three out of state gunmen to kill Andrade out of revenge for stealing money and drugs.

Texas Ranger, Frank Malinak was on the stand all morning. He worked extensively with Brazos County authorities on the case. The state submitted several guns into evidence. They were retrieved from Davis's home and the home of Willie and Trey Davis, Chad's father and brother. Both are awaiting trial in connection with the murder.

Malinak also reviewed cell phone records which showed calls made to Trey and Chad's phone minutes after the murder.

It was a short day for the trial. Jurors were dismissed shortly after 12 p.m. Testimony continues Monday.
