The annual Christmas parade wasn't the only activity around the area to get folks in the holiday spirit.
Things happening around town included the A&M campus as well.
The University's singing groups joined together for the "Holiday Spirit of Aggieland" concert.
The Singing Cadets, Women's Chorus, Century Singers and the Revelliers performed a variety of the sacred and secular music of the holiday season.
And for the finale, the groups formed a 200-voice combined choir and performing the traditional "Hallelujah" chorus.
Across town, a local church group showed the Christmas story from an ancient perspective.
The Walk Thru Bethlehem was built at the Christ United Methodist Church in College Station.
The display depicted the City of David as it was more than 2,000 years ago when Jesus was born.
Actors, live animals, craft booths and demonstrations all helped add to the event.
This was the fourth year the church has held the event.
