WHITE HOUSE (AP) - An Arkansas man is facing charges after
allegedly jumping the fence surrounding the White House.

A Secret Service spokesman says Shawn Cox has been charged with
unlawful entry.

Cox was expected to make a court appearance Monday.

President Bush was home when Cox allegedly climbed the fence
today on the northeast side of the property.

Uniformed Secret Service officers stood by with their guns
drawn, while an agent escorted the man to a guard station.

The man arrested was unshaven. He was wearing a sweatshirt and
his pants were dirty from being wrestled to the ground.
