A College Station family is homeless after a fire destroyed their home Friday night.
The call came in shortly before 9 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed.
The couple that lived in the home had reportedly gone out to eat. No injuries were reported.
One resident told investigators they believe a faulty heating appliance may be to blame. But the fire's cause is still under investigation.
In all, seven College Station fire units and one from Bryan responded.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 40 minutes.
