Tuesday Robberies May Be Linked

Two armed robberies in the Twin Cities may be connected.

The Dollar Tree store on Texas Avenue in College Station was the site of a late night robbery Tuesday. Police say an employee in the parking lot had a gun pointed at them by a Hispanic male, standing around 5'7" and weighing around 170 pounds. They demanded money, got it, and then ran while firing a shot in the air.

A few hours before that robbery, a thin, black male a little over 6 feet tall held up Hallmark Cleaners on Villa Maria in Bryan with a handgun. A witness said a Hispanic male matching the description of the College Station robber was driving the get-away car.

There's no known connection yet, but if you have any information on either crime, call the respective cities' police departments.
