The battle between the city of Huntsville and Centerpoint Energy over an increase in natural gas rates is a draw for now.
The two sides met for mediation Tuesday and could not reach an agreement. Residents have already started seeing a 38 percent increase on their bills.
But the city says Centerpoint is violating the city ordinance which put a freeze on the rates earlier this month. The city council will discuss the issue again next month.
