A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Lee county through this evening. Rain & thunderstorms will continue to be possible for the Brazos Valley, through the overnight hours. Severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out -- damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado threat will need to be monitored.
The 20th annual Fiestas Patrias celebration is going on all day today in downtown Bryan.
The non-profit’s mission is to instill the culture and educate the community. The annual event brings in thousands of people who enjoy music, dance and authentic Mexican food.
Several students or adults needing help in continuing their higher education are also given scholarships. The money is funded by all proceeds and donations from the event and local businesses.
The cultural event, festival and parade will be held in the Bryan Historical Downtown District today from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
