Some College Station policemen took a little break from crime fighting to spread holiday cheer to kids.

The department held it first toy drive this year. Officers unlisted the help of Santa Claus to help deliver toys and clothes to 7 families. Tons of gifts were collected. The kids were so surprised and excited when Santa personally handed them their presents.

"I always get a thrill out of anything like this and to be able to go up and the kids look at me. It's a lot of fun. It brings a lot of enjoyment, believe me," said Bob Brown who played Santa Claus.

Chief Michael Clancey says this first event was a huge success and he looks forward to the years to come.
