The new year also means a new law for Bryan police to enforce.
It's a juvenile curfew, and it went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday.
The curfew is from midnight to 5 a.m., and repeated violations could result in fines of up to $500, plus community service.
Bryan police say the curfew is designed to reduce juvenile crime and juvenile gang activity.
College Station is considering a similar curfew.
The city council could get a draft proposal sometime early this year.
