When Lacy Herod was born she weighed only 2 pounds and 10 ounces and and being a preemie that was born with cerebral palsy only complicated matters.
Today Lacy is six-years-old and has a special place in her therapists heart.
Both Cheryl Demas and Kathleen Johnson has spent much time with Lacy and have even teared-up when she accomplishes some of her more difficult tasks during therapy.
To help her develop her muscles Lacy has participated in aquatic and hippotherapy, but it's the simple games like playing catch that help her gain strength.
Because of the help she's received from Cheryl and Kathleen, Lacy is turning into a great baseball player and while she's still a little soft-spoken and shy, her self-esteem is growing day by day.
