A long-time local jewelry and coin dealer has died.
John D. Huntley passed away Sunday at The College Station Medical Center.
Huntley graduated from Texas A&M in 1979 and served in the Army National Guard.
He's probably most well known for owning John D. Huntley, Inc. and the Texas Coin Exchange. He recently received the Aggie 100 Award which is given to the 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or operated by graduates of Texas A&M University by the university's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship.
Huntley, 48, is survived by his wife and son.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 11am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in College Station. Callaway-Jones is handling the arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Russian Orthodox Church.
