A Brazos County judge has recused himself in the case of a former District Attorney employee accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the office.

Queen Walker's attorney, David Barron asked that the case be moved out of Judge JD Langley's courtroom.
The two are opponents in the upcoming Republican primary for the 85th district judge seat.
Langley agreed and had the case moved to the 361st district court.

Walker faces felony theft and misapplication of fiduciary property.
She's accused of embezzling nearly $100,000 from the Brazos County District Attorney's office from a fund that was intended for crime victims. Her trial is set for April 3rd.
Walker was hired by the DA's office in the 1970's, and was named the victim's assistance coordinator in 1985. She retired in 2002.
