In Madisonville, authorities are combing the streets for an armed robber.
They're looking for the person who held up the Western Lodge motel around 7:30pm Friday. The motel is near I-45 on Main Street (Highway 21). It's also near a number of fast-food restaurants and a wooded area at the rear.
Early in the search authorities thought the suspect had ducked into a Sonic just down the road, but that wasn't the case. Now, they are expanding their dragnet and passing on the suspect's description to other agencies.
That description is a black male, 6'2", 280 pounds. Witnesses say he's unshaven and wearing a white shirt with brown sleeves and black pants.
