Bomb Threat Came From 8th Grader

Video will be available shortly

An eighth grader has taken responsibility for a pair of bomb threats called in earlier this month.

A Rayburn Middle School 8th grader voluntarily came forward Friday admitting he was behind the January 5 hoax. Police say the calls forced the evacuations of Bryan High and SFA Middle School. The teen claims they made the calls after being pressured by a classmate.

That student is now being held at Brazos County juvenile detention center. Making a terroristic threat is a third degree felony with a possible sentence of up to a 20 years.
