A Brazos county man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the city of Bryan.

Thirty-year-old Ronald Scot Gasch was charged with theft after police say he stole more than seven thousand dollars worth of equipment from the city, and two thousand dollars worth of equipment from Barker Productions, his former employer.

According to police, Gasch took an apple pocketbook and several cameras from the city of Bryan. Gasch has told police he sold everything but one of the cameras on eBay. Gasch said he needed money to pay bills and buy other camera equipment.

According to police reports, Gasch had done contract work for the city of Bryan.

Last week Gasch was charged with insurance fraud for reporting his own property stolen and then selling it on eBay.
