Three Arrested in Motel Bust

An ill-advised parking job led to the arrest of three people this morning at a College Station motel.

It happened Sunday at the Best Western Chimney Hill in the 900 block of University Drive.

Police say a man was passed out behind the wheel of his Jeep, which was in the motel driveway near a parking place.

A police investigation later turned up drugs in the room in which the man said he was staying.

That man, Terry Lee Connor of Hearne, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and drug possession.

Two other people were also arrested.

Both Richard Shawn George of Bryan and Lisa Deann Jeffries of Midway face drug charges after police found marijuana and methamphetamine in the room.
