A Caldwell High School student has organized a charity golf tournament for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Cameron Scitern, 17, has raised more than $23,000.00 for the JDRF.
Scitern says, "I want people to realize there are more important things in life than themselves and hopefully I will motivate others to do the same."
If you would like to help Cameron and his celebrity sponsor, LaTroy Hawkins -- a pitcher for the New York Yankees, raise money for the foundation, you can join the 4-man scramble on July 14th at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan.
The cost is $100 per player. The entry fee includes the green fee, cart, Traditions gift bag, and a meal donated by Cotton Patch Café.
