The death of a newborn girl is being blamed on her mother. But police say it's what the mother did before the birth that killed the baby.
Nineteen-year-old Bethany Witzel is accused of using cocaine during her pregnancy which authorities say caused her child's premature birth and subsequent death.
Witzel, who is pregnant again and has two other kids, is also under investigation by Child Protective Services.
Bryan police say Witzel isn't the only case of this nature. They say they've turned over evidence to the D.A. on a second woman who also reportedly used cocaine during her pregnancy.
