An Aggie, who was a political appointee at NASA, has resigned after allegedly restricting media access to a top scientist.
George Deutsch, 24, submitted his resignation this week after a year on the job.
The New York Times reports Deutsch tried to limit access to climate scientist Jim Hansen and insisted that a Web designer
insert the word "theory" before any mention of the Big Bang.
Hansen, in an e-mail to the Associated Press, said Deutsch attracted attention because some of the things he demanded were so outrageous.
Questions also were raised about whether Deutsch graduated from Texas A&M as his resume reportedly claimed.
An A&M official says Deutsch attended the university from 1999 to 2004, but never graduated.
