A Houston man arrested in connection with a woman's stabbing death last week is now charged with her murder.

Defredrick Granderson, 30, was arrested last week after leading Bryan police officers on a chase into College Station.

Police believe he stabbed his girlfriend, Andrea Kimbrough, 33, to death last week.

As officers approached the scene, Granderson fled and led officers into College Station where he wrecked his car.

Granderson was released from College Station Medical Center Saturday and immediately booked on the murder charge.

He was in the hospital all week for self-inflicted stab wounds.
