A woman who ate at a fast food restaurant claims she got more than she bargained for, and now Bryan Police are investigating.
The woman told police she bought a burrito at the Taco Bell on South Texas Avenue in Bryan Tuesday night, and when she got home and bit into her burrito, she found a medicine pill in it.
A Bryan Police Department spokesperson said the capsule had a clear coating with powder inside of it.
Austaco, the local franchisee of Taco Bell, has received the complaint concerning the alleged incident.
Don Barton, Vice President of Human Resources for Austaco, Ltd. said in a written statement, "We are investigating the matter to determine if or how a foreign object could have ended up in a product. Taco Bell is always concerned about the safety and well-being of all of its customers and its employees."
Tampering with a consumer product is a 2nd or 3rd degree felony, depending on the person's intent.
