Residents in rural areas will now have a free ride to get to their doctor's appointments.
The Brazos Valley Health Partnership awarded 4 mini vans to the Brazos Valley Area Agency on Aging. The vans will be used to transport rural residents to health related appointments.
The vans were purchased through a federal grant. The Center for Community Health and Development at Texas A&M's Health Science Center of Rural Public Health manages a federal grant for the transit system on behalf of BVHP.
To request a ride or volunteer to be a driver, call The Center for Regional Services at 595- 2800.
