Brazos Valley Burn Bans: The following counties are under a Burn Ban: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Washington
The middle man in the murder plot of Brazos County resident Thomas Andrade, pleaded guilty to two charges Friday. 28-year-old Thomas Parent will spend the next 35 years in prison, 20 for engaging in organized criminal activity and 15 for burglary of a habitation.
At first, all those involved in the case were charged with capitol murder, but Brazos County District Attorney Bill Turner says during negotiations each defendant's role was pin-pointed.
Parent received 5 fewer years than Trey Davis because Turner says he was a lesser participant.
"We are trying to accurately reflect the amount of involvement in the case," Turner said. "His limited involvement was he recruited the three men that came out here, he sent them out here. Throughout that point it's our interpretation and the evidence we saw the crime became much more serious."
In December, Chad Davis, the ringleader in the conspiracy, was sentenced to life in prison for hiring three men from Georgia to retrieve money allegedly stolen from Davis by Brazos County resident and local rap producer Tommy Andrade.
Andrade was shot and killed along with one of the hired men.
Thursday Chad Davis's younger brother Trey was sentenced to 40 years in prison. As for the three hired men, Jesse Mancuso was killed during the incident, Bradley Padrick pleaded guilty to burglary and is now serving a 20 year prison sentence, and Boris Mogilevich is still at large.
