The thunder rolled across the Brazos Valley as numerous showers and thunderstorms erupted along the seabreeze front this afternoon. At 4:15pm, heavy rain was falling in Bryan/College Station and Brenham to Caldwell and Milano. This activity is not severe but is producing vivid lightning and very heavy rainfall. There have been no reports of hail, but pea size hail is not out of the question as these storms continue to push northwest at 10-20 mph. This scattered activity is likely to hang with us for the next couple of hours thanks to abundant moisture and daytime heating. It's been a while since we've had rainfall, so please remember to slow down and be extra cautious as many of the streets are wet and may have ponding.

An area of low pressure located close to Brownsville continues to spiral in moisture from the gulf. This low is expected to move off over the coming days as high pressure builds into the area.
