Despite some heated races, voter turnout was low in Tuesday's primary election.
Just 10,385 cast ballots, about 6 percent of the 85,000 registered voters.
According to County Clerk Karen McQueen, the numbers are comparable with constitutional amendment elections.
When early voting ended Friday, 3,149 Brazos County voters had cast ballots. That's 4 percent of the roughly 85,000 registered voters, McQueen said.
Runoffs will be held April 11th, with early voting starting April 3.
