A College Station accounting assistant is accused of taking a local cleaning company to the cleaners.
Danette Anselmo, 24, was arrested Friday afternoon on four counts of forgery and two counts of credit card theft. She had been working for Pro Star, a local commercial cleaning distributor.
Company officials noticed money missing in May and contacted College Station police. Investigators were able to track down four stolen checks written to Shammy Car Wash and Home Depot. They also found two Office Depot credit card receipts for a L-C-D TV and digital camera.
The total amount missing is believed to be more than $30,000. Anselmo was released Friday after posting a $30,000 bond.
