Wal-Mart is recalling about 643-thousand love seats and porch rocking chairs. There's a problem with the chairs' runners that can cause instability, imbalance, fracturing of the wood and tipping, posing a falling hazard.
The retailing giant has received 45 reports of injuries arising from use of the three separate models. The news comes from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Consumers are urged to stop using them immediately and to return the three rockers to Wal-Mart for full refunds.
The recall involves three models of rocking chairs, the Mainstays Love Seat Rocker (model IT-13380) and two Mainstays Porch Rockers (models IT-13379 and IT-13270). The love seats are wooden and white and seat two people. The wooden porch rocker is sold in white and light brown.
