KBTX's new television station will soon be home to the new CW network.
Earlier this year, UPN and The WB announced a merger that would take place this fall. Wednesday, The CW announced what is now known as UPN-BCS will be home to the merged network.
KBTX was one of six stations that reached agreements with the network today. The CW now has 68 percent coverage of the United States.
"We welcome these six fine stations as the newest members of The CW's affiliate family," said John Maatta, Chief Operating Officer, The CW. "The stations and the companies that operate them are joining with us for an unprecedented business opportunity -- launching a new network with a strong slate of successful shows with proven appeal to young adults and to the many advertisers who want to reach that coveted demographic. We can't wait to start working with our new colleagues."
