One Brazos Valley town is seeking to confront the issue of underage drinking.
Somerville in Burleson County is one of hundreds of communities across the country holding an underage drinking prevention town hall meeting.
The meeting is Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Mantey Country.
That's on Highway 36 in Somerville.
The event is presented by the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
Everyone is invited, including parents, students, and teachers.
Statistics show about 29 percent of young people between the ages of 12 and 20 have used alcohol illegally.
