Surfing the internet in downtown Bryan just got a little easier.
A network has been set up in the downtown area that will allow wireless internet access. The system offers laptop and PDA users with Wi-Fi capabilities the option of logging onto the internet without the use of phone lines or traditional wires.
A representative from ZingNet, the company responsible for operating the system, says these wireless capabilities were needed in the area.
"It was just a logical progression for downtown Bryan," said Steve Discher. "Being the technology center that downtown is, we needed wireless internet in the downtown area."
Users will be able to use the network for free from downtown for two hours.
