Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
A week after an alleged robbery and sexual assault, Walker County authorities are asking for the public's help.
A woman travelling on I-45 last Friday said two men in a white Ford truck began signalling to her that there was something wrong with her vehicle. When she pulled over near FM 2989, the men tried to take her purse then attacked her. The victim says she was forced into their truck where she was sexually assaulted.
One suspect stands just under 6-feet-tall, heavy-set, with blonde hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. The other is about five-and-a-half feet tall, with greasy brown hair, and very bad teeth.
If you have any information on this incident, you're asked to call Walker County Sheriffs at (936) 435-2400.
