Police say they received a shots fired call around 8 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Foch Street.

When police arrived they found a couple and another man in a heated argument. Police say the couple locked themselves up in a nearby apartment and the other man was arrested for outstanding warrants. The woman eventually surrendered to authorities.

"Out of the blue the involved female came outside with the baby and gave herself up to the officers," Sergeant Boswell with the Bryan Police Department said. "She did have some warrants and was arrested on some misdemeanor warrants and the child was released to a relative of hers."

Bryan police and Swat team members surrounded the apartment and the man, accused of firing the shots, eventually turned himself in.

Police say Cesar Vaca, 17, has been charged with violating a protective order and possession of a stolen firearm.
