PURCELL, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma authorities say a man accused of
killing a ten-year-old neighbor girl had planned his crime months
Purcell police and the McClain County district attorney say the
victim was to be anyone who happened to walk by Kevin Ray
Underwood's apartment that day.
That person turned out to be Jamie Rose Bolin.
Authorities outlined a heinous plot involving kidnap, rape, torture, mutilation and cannibalism.
They say Underwood bought some items months in advance in preparation for the killing.
Jamie disappeared on Wednesday. Underwood was arrested Friday
after authorities found her body in his apartment.
The DA says he will charge Underwood with first-degree murder and seek the death penalty.
He is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
