A Bryan man will spend the next 11 years behind bars after being convicted of date rape.
Lance Leftwich, 22, was found guilty of sexual assault on Wednesday.
A 19-year-old Texas A&M student testified Leftwich forced himself on her and raped her while she begged him to stop in October 2004.
Leftwich, who did not testify, claimed the act was consensual.
He faced up to 20 years in prison and was also eligible for probation.
