A BTU employee is injured while repairing storm damaged power lines Friday.
According to witnesses, the pole he was working on snapped, sending him down 12 feet where he landed on a shed. He rolled of the roof and fell 12 more feet to the ground.
It happened off Redbud Street near OSR. According to a BTU spokesman, lineman Ronnie Anderson actually checked once and came down because he wasn't sure of the polls stability. After a second check, Anderson went back up. That is when the pole snapped.
Anderson was taken to St. Joseph. Crews on the scene believe he at least broke his leg.
