The College Station Police Department has called off the search for an
alleged shoplifter.

Police say the man stole from Macy's and authorities were in the process of making the arrest when he got away.

CSPD searched a wooded area near Post Oak Mall and the USDA building for a few hours Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black shirt, black ball cap, blue jean shorts, in his thirties. He is also said to be balding.

Police say the stolen merchandise was recovered.
