Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, this afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
A College Station man is behind bars, charged with driving drunk with an infant in the front seat. Thirty-four-year-old Pedro Ebran Tumax was stopped by College Station police for driving on the wrong side of the road.
Police say Tumax was driving while intoxicated and that an 18-month old child was in the passenger seat sleeping.
Police say the child's safety seat was in the trunk of the car.
Tumax being held on $20,000 bond.
