A man accused of assaulting several Bryan police officers has had his day in court. Twenty-six-year-old Michael Bell was found guilty of three counts of aggravated assault today, after he threatened the officers in 2004.
Police went out on a drug call, and when they tried to arrest him he fought back and ended up taking a gun from one of the officers. He used that gun to threaten police.
The sentencing phase of the trial is underway. Bell could face up to 99 years or life in prison.
