Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, across the Brazos Valley, Saturday afternoon and evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity. An isolated, brief tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
Saturday morning the body of a Grimes County man who vanished on Lake Conroe was recovered. Searchers have confirmed they found 19-year-old Steven Brow of Richards.
A dive team spent more than two days searching for Brow near a boat ramp. Friends say Brow was swimming and when they looked up, he was gone. They say he was not a strong swimmer and could have gone too far out to return.
In addition to the dive team, state game wardens and a helicopter searched the wooded area around the lake.
He was a senior at Richards High School.
An autopsy has been ordered and results are expected early next week, but officials say do not suspect foul play.
