A cold front will approach the Brazos Valley later today. Isolated areas of rain and thunderstorms could develop along and ahead of that front between mid-afternoon and early evening. Good news: rain & storm activity will be quick moving (1 hour or less). Bad news: a few severe thunderstorms are possible with large hail and strong, damaging winds being the main concern. A brief, isolated tornado threat cannot be ruled out, as well.
A former San Angelo coach faces a charge of having an improper relationship with a student.
Raymond Sedillo Padilla is accused of kissing and improperly touching a member of the girls basketball team.
The 43-year-old Padilla was a coach and teacher at Grape Creek High School. He resigned April 6 after officials suspended him without pay.
The charge is punishable by two to 20 years in prison.
