Kids were up bright and early Monday morning for the first day of school.
Some Bryan ISD students got to start the new school year off in some new digs.
Rudder High School opened its doors early Monday morning to eager students and staff. The new facility boasts two gymnasiums, an auditorium, a culinary arts training restaurant, and some of the latest and greatest in technology.
However, with new technology there can also be a few hiccups.
"We got a PA system in the building, we just don't know if it works. We don't know how to operate it. We got a bell system we're not sure how to operate," Rudder High School Principal Hugh Piatt said. "Technology is fun, but the Internet we need it, but don't know if it will work everywhere or not."
Davila Middle School also opened its doors for the first time on Monday.
This new school has cutting edge technology that administrators say will help expand the student's learning experience.
"We're here in a brand new facility that has some flat panel Macs where kids can do research," Davila Middle School Principal Chad Broussard said. "So right now we have some of the best equipment in a brand new middle school, and we're proud of that."

Why are there no school zone signs by Rudder High School and more speed signs? Its a race track down near Austin's Colony Parkway! Its not all the kids either.
